A Look At the Week Ahead
Monday, February 24th, 2025
- Scholars should arrive in proper uniform and dress code.
- Scholars should have a backpack and a tightly sealed water bottle with them each day.
- High school scholars and 8th graders should arrive at the first block with their chromebooks fully charged.
- All phones and personal electronic devices are to be stored in their yonder pouches.
Tuesday, February 25th, 2025
- ACT for 11th grade and PreACT for 9th and 10th grades
- Scholars should arrive in proper uniform and dress code.
- Scholars should have a backpack and a tightly sealed water bottle with them each day.
- High school scholars and 8th graders should arrive at the first block with their chromebooks fully charged.
- All phones and personal electronic devices are to be stored in their yonder pouches.
- After school Clubs and activities -Please use this form to let us know if you plan to have your scholar stay:

- High school scholars and 8th graders should arrive at the first block with their chromebooks fully charged.
- All phones and personal electronic devices are to be stored in their yonder pouches.

- High school scholars and 8th graders should arrive at the first block with their chromebooks fully charged.
- All phones and personal electronic devices are to be stored in their yonder pouches.
- Middle School Spirit Week will be the first week of March. More info will be shared this week.
- March 13 - Early Release Day at 12pm
- March 14 - No school for Scholars

Hello CCSMS families,
We are moving right along in Semester 2. Please reach out to your scholar's teachers with any questions or concerns about scholar progress, course work completion, or grades to set up a time for a quick phone call or meeting.
Our classrooms are always in need of a few school supply items. Here are some we could use:
- Disinfectant wipes (big containers preferably)
- Kleenex
- Index cards/flash cards
- Markers
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Post-it notes (any size, any color)
- Sharpies - all colors, kinds
- Packs of colored copy paper
Please remind scholars with missing items to come check the lost and found.

Who to reach out to
Here are some tips for who it reach out to with questions, ideas, or concerns:
- If you need an individual meeting with your scholar's teacher please reach out to them directly via email to set up a meeting time or a phone call. Teachers should respond within 24 hours during the work week. We do not expect them to respond in the evening or on the weekends. They will send an introduction email at the beginning of the semester and their email should be in the course syllabus shared at the beginning of the semester.
- If you have questions about PowerSchool, bus transportation, or other front office related matters, please email the front office and someone will respond to you.
- If you have general questions about middle school, Mrs. Carter is the Assistant Principal for middle school at CCSMS, and is always happy to help guide you and answer questions.
- If you have general questions about high school, Mr. Thompson is our Assistant Principal for high school and is ready to help support your scholar's success at CCSMS.
- Our school counselors are Mrs. Domin for high school and Ms. Manigault is serving our middle school scholars this year with Ms. Nguyen. They can help with course selection, adjusting to middle school or high school, and other resources your scholar may need to be successful. Mr. Bert Hudnall, our college advisor, is an experienced and well-respected and will work to assist with developing self-sustaining college counseling programs.
- If you have questions about your scholar's IEP or 504 plan, Mrs. Cannon can assist you.
- For attendance, records, address/email/phone number updates, Operoo, admissions, and enrollment, please reach out to Mrs. Woolum.
- Mrs. Frasier, our lead principal, can assist you if an issue is not resolved at the teacher or administrative team level. She handles all of our day to day operations.
- Mrs. Carmichael, our Executive Principal and CEO, can assist you if you have an issue you need to discuss that impacts the overall functioning of the school.
- If you have an appeal of an administrator decision, there is a formal process to bring that issue to the board. You can reach the board members to start that process.

- Spring Sports Open Season Workouts are ongoing see the CCSMS Riptide Athletics Website for details. All participants must have a physical form uploaded in PlanetHS.com in order to participate.

Bus updates - Jan 21
Good morning - Jan 21 Updates
We have bus drivers out this afternoon, so the following buses will be late on their PM routes.
There is no Ravenel Stop Today. Please use the Publix stop.
CCMS 5 and CCMS 9: CCMS 5 and CCMS 9 will ride together. The later stops in this list will be up to 45 minutes later than usual. It will stop in the following order:

About F3
The CCSMS Family, Faculty, and Friends organization (F3) encompasses the PTO, Athletic Booster, Band Booster, and School Activities Supports. Please let us know if you would be interested in serving in a leadership role and someone will follow up with you.
F3/PTO is always looking for volunteers for various projects throughout the year. F3/PTO is currently in looking for board members for the coming school year. We need parent/guardian representatives from Athletics teams as well. Please complete our volunteer form if you are interested in volunteering with us:
