Dear CCSMS Families and Scholars,

It was wonderful to see so many families at Meet the Teacher night! We loved getting to know our new families and catching up with our returning families. 

This Friday is an early release day at 12pm and next Monday, September 7th is Labor Day.

Information will be updated here during the school year with various information about colleges visiting, upcoming assessments, volunteer opportunities for scholars, and curriculum updates.

Some simple ways to get involved:

• •  Join us online on Facebook

  • Link those Harris Teeter cards to our school – our #7617 and add CCSMS to your to your Publix account.

  • Donate backpacks, uniform clothing, tissues, classroom supplies, and gift cards when you can. They can be dropped off in the front office and will be put to use based on the priorities of the day.

Here are some tips for who it reach out to with questions, ideas, or concerns:

• If you have questions about PowerSchool, Contact Andrea Woolum, email or 843-720-3085 x1130 during school hours. 
• Bus transportation questions, or other front office related matters, please email the front office and someone will respond to you.
• If you have general questions about middle school, Mrs. Carter is the Assistant Principal for middle school at CCSMS, and is always happy to help guide you and answer questions.
• If you have general questions about high school, Mr. Thompson is our Assistant Principal for high school and is ready to help support your scholar's success at CCSMS.
  
• If you have questions about your scholar's IEP or 504 plan, Mrs. Cannon can assist you.
• If you have a schedule or course question, please reach out to your scholar's school counselor: Mrs. Nguyen, Mrs. Manigualt, or Ms. Birch.
• For attendance, records, address/email/phone number updates, admissions, and enrollment, please reach out to Mrs. Woolum. 
• Mrs. Frasier, our lead principal, can assist you if an issue is not resolved at the teacher or administrative team level. She handles all of our day to day operations.
• Mrs. Carmichael, our Executive Principal and CEO, can assist  you if you have an issue you need to discuss that impacts the overall functioning of the school.
• If you have an appeal of an administrator decision, there is a formal process to bring that issue to the board. You can reach the board members to start that process.

Please use the designated drop-off area at the back of the school in the morning and afternoon.  King Street is very busy in the morning and we want our scholars safe.
