The Physical Education program provides each scholar with the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive program consisting of skill development, lead up games, team sports, individual sports, and physical fitness activities.

Physical Education 1 | The Physical Education program provides each scholar with the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive program consisting of skill development, lead up games, team sports, individual sports, and physical fitness activities. The scholars receive instruction in rules, skills, and strategies associated with the different sports as well as learning experiences involving physical conditioning activities and lifelong physical activities. The program promotes the spirit of cooperation, leadership, fair play, and friendly competition. |
PE 2 – Strength and Conditioning | This class is intended for scholars who are involved in interscholastic athletics. This course emphasizes engagement in an individually specific weight training program. Each scholar, with the help of the teacher, will design a semester long weight training and athletic conditioning program that meets their specific needs and goals. This is a highly intensive class as far as lifting weights and running. The course will also introduce scholars to proper nutrition, weight management, principles of training and various fitness assessments. The course is geared towards individuals who are looking to improve their overall muscular strength to compete at their highest level. |
Personal Health | In Health, scholars will have the opportunity to explore topics and issues that will affect their personal health and wellness for their entire life. The exploration of issues
affecting health and wellness will provide scholars with the knowledge to make quality personal health decisions. Mental health, personal relationships, health risk behaviors, consumer health, goal setting and decision making are some of the topics that scholars will use to participate in projects and interactive assignments. |
